On March 5th, 2024, 28 students and 2 teachers had the pleasure to go to Dublin for a week. Our trip started very early in the morning. We met at 6:30. We just arrived in time at Vienna airport to hand in our lugguage and to do the security check. In Dublin a coach took us to the meeting point with our host families. On the next day we started with a guided tour to get to know the city of Dublin with our guide Ben. Afterwards we went to Temple Bar, where our school was located, for our first afternoon language classes. On Thursday we started the day with morning classes. In the afternoon we went to Teeling’s Whiskey destillery to get to know how typical Irish whiskey is produced.
On the following day we went to Howth by train for a cliff walk with our guide Patrick. In the afternoon we had classes. On Saturday we went to Kilkenny where we got to know the town center and Kilkenny Castle. Sunday was our sports day. We did not only experience popular Irish sports, but also typical Irish weather conditions. The last day in Dublin started with morning classes. In the afternoon we visited the Jeanie Johnston which was followed by a Pub Singalong at The Ha’penny Bridge Inn. Time passed by quickly and on Tuesday we had to say goodbye to our host families in Dublin and leave for Austria.
